How to Patch Hack to a ROM file?

Even now, there are many new people who don't know how to patch.
I am going straight to the steps......

What you need to do patch?  
  1. A pokemon ROM
  2. A Patch file of the hack (.ips or .ups)
  3. A patcher (Lunar IPS Patcher, UPS Patcher (download Winrar if you can't extract/open .rar files))

Please NOTE :
Hacks/Mods have different patches available. If the patch is .ips, then you'll need Lunar IPS Patcher. If the patch is .ups, then you'll need the UPS Patcher. If the patch download is in .rar, and you can't open or extract it, then download and install WinRAR.



For .ips Patch
  1. Double click the smily red moon thingy.
  2. Click "Apply IPS Patch".
  3. Select the hack's patch.
  4. Select your ROM.
  5. Done! You can now and play the game!


For .ups Patch
  1. Select the proper folder, depending on your operating system.
  2. Double-click the patcher.
  3. Click "Apply patch to an existing file".
  4. Click the first "Browse" button.
  5. Choose the hack's patch file.
  6. Click the second "Browse" button.
  7. Select your ROM.
  8. Click the "Apply Patch" button.
  9. Done! You can now and play the game!
